Turn your speakers up to 11, because the official trailer for* Spinal Tap II: The End Continues* is here. **
The clip, which star and director Rob Reiner first debuted at a San Diego Comic-Con panel on Thursday, features the legendary rock band band — comprised of Harry Shearer's Derek Smalls, Michael McKean's David St. Hubbins, and Christopher Guest's Nigel Tufnel — trying and failing to recruit Grammy-winning musician Questlove as their latest drummer ahead of the band's big reunion gig.
"So, you think you fit the bill?" St. Hubbins asks the fellow musician over video call. To which Questlove bluntly replies, "I don't wanna die."

St. Hubbins' response doesn't exactly help seal the deal, either.
"We've only lost 11 — or 12? — drummers," he defends, shrugging his shoulders.

The Roots member's concern is valid. After all, every single one of Spinal Tap's drummers has died in a series of increasingly absurd ways that range from bizarre gardening accidents to choking on someone else's vomit to exploding while onstage. **
St. Hubbins admits in the clip that "we're still short a drummer" ahead of their Lakefront Arena concert after losing their last percussionist. When asked what happened, he simply replies, "He sneezed himself into oblivion."

Questlove isn't the only famous face who appears in the sequel's trailer. Elton John can be seen performing Spinal Tap's hit "Stonehenge," while Paul McCartney describes the band's cheeky lyrics in "Big Bottom" as nothing short of absolute "literature" in an interview with Reiner's Marty DiBergi. **
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood are just a few of the other musicians slated to star in the upcoming sequel, which comes 41 years after the original film. **
Reiner previously praised McCartney and John's improv skills in an interview with *. *
"They were all great. Paul McCartney is really funny. I mean, *really* funny," Reiner said at the time. "And Elton was spot on. He knew exactly what he wanted to say, and either you can do it or you can't do it. But these guys are used to being asked questions. They've been asked a million questions over their careers by reporters, and so they were totally comfortable, and you'll see what they say. It is good."**
He also noted that "the real world of rockers" has really come to embrace the 1984 comedy.
"I can't tell you how many times I've been approached by rockers who said, 'It's a staple on the tour bus. We watch it over and over again,'" Reiner explained. "The first time I met Sting, he said, 'I've watched this thing so many times. Every time I watch it, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.' Because it's so close to the reality of their lives."**
*Spinal Tap II: The End Continues *turns up to 11 in theaters on Sept. 12. Watch the trailer above.**
